About 12 years ago I went to a yard sale. It had been advertised as "rain or shine", so I just knew I would have a good chance because it was raining that day and I figured there would not be many people out, but boy was I wrong.
Many of the items were being held in the garage and the sun room of the sellers home so it was perfect. I am an avid reader, so I went straight for the books. I looked through many, but a very old German novel caught my interest and the seller wanted just two dollars for it. So I continued to look for other items.
I went home with my various collection, and I never looked at the book again until three days later. When I did, I found a black and white Kodak picture . On the back there was some writing. The writing was very shaky. Perhaps by an elderly person,or someone that was shaken by that day's events. The photo was dated Nov 22,1963 of Mr.& Mrs. John F. Kennedy. (On the back it states leaving the church on the morning of his death.) The couple looking as handsome as ever, and Jackie in the stunning pink suit with the fur trim. I was in shock.
I sat there staring at my new found treasure, remembering where I was that day. Sitting at my desk at school, when the announcement came over the loud speaker. Staring at my teacher as she turned her head away from the rest of the class and cried. At the time I was too young to understand all the emotion, but the day I discovered the picture I could not hold back the tears, nor can I today.

Barack Obama's Political Future
No Experience?
Barack Obama is indeed a man of the world, but he is inexperienced and that
fact alone should make one nervous about him being in the White House, but
in some instances he is far more experienced than the other candidates.
His early anti-poverty organizations, his early views on early childhood education,
and he actually "lived abroad", which is an experience the other candidates lack.
He was a "street kid" in Indonesia. He had to study the Quran and that experience
would make him look at Muslims for their nationalism, and not stereotype them
for their fanaticism. He once described the call to prayer as "one of the most beautiful sounds on Earth."
He witnessed first hand the atrocities going on in Africa, and that alone makes
him understand the issues like personal freedoms and security.
So, Obama may lack experience at the very top of the ladder, but what set's him apart, is that he has received everyday "street wise, been there, keeping it real, strategies," which makes him rich in experience and wisdom, thank you very much!!
